Lego Painted Corn

Lego Painted Corn - A fun and easy fall craft that your kids will love and will make a great decoration.

One of my kids’ favorite things to paint with is Legos and most of you probably have some Legos around your house.  This is a simple craft project that makes a perfect decoration for fall and it is really easy and fun for the kids.

What supplies you will need for this project:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • Legos
  • Paint
    • Yellow, brown and orange (for Indian corn)
    • Or
    • Yellow (for sweet corn)
  • Paper Plate (to put the paint on)
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch or Glue
  • Raffia (to tie them together) or Construction Paper (green or brown to make husk)
  • Baby Wipes (Optional – just a couple to clean off fingers or any little mess that might happen)
  • Cheap Plastic Tablecloth (Optional – to cover your work area if needed)

To get started squirt a little bit of each color paint onto the paper plate and give your child the cardstock they will be painting on (if you have multiple children I would write their name on the back so you can easily see whose is whose).  For my younger two I put them in their high chairs for craft projects to help keep the mess to a minimum.

Kids doing Lego Painted Corn

When my oldest (5 year old) daughter is doing this project I just give her the paper, paper plate with paint and the Legos and let her do it pretty much all herself.

With my 1 and 2 year old boys I help them a little bit more, such as dipping the Legos in the paint and handing them one at a time.

So depending on your child’s age you might need to assist them a little bit more or this could be a pretty independent project.

This makes a great fall decoration.  If you are looking for more fun fall crafts check this out.

I hope you enjoy making this and hopefully a few other fun fall crafts with your children and make some memories.
