One really, fun craft that has been a hit with every group of kids I have tried it with but especially my kids is marble painting. You can marble paint many different things but today we are doing a fall theme and marble painted pumpkins. Marble painting can be done with almost any age kids, all three of mine really enjoyed it, the littlest one just needed a little more mom assistance.
Supplies That You Will Need to Do This Craft:
- Cardstock – you can print a pumpkin outline on it or cut a pumpkin out after you paint on it
- You will probably have to trim it to fit in the bin – I love this paper cutter
- If you have multiple kids I suggest writing their names on the back side of the paper before you start
- Bin – with a lid is helpful (can get a cheap disposable one with a lid for about $1)
- Orange Paint
- Small Cup or Bowl
When you are ready to roll with your kids just use the spoon to get the marbles out of the paint, drop them onto the page in the bin, put on the lid if you have one and let the kids roll till their hearts content. I used three marbles and only had them do it one time and it seemed to work great, but you can do it more than once if you want the paper more covered.
After the paint has dried cut out the pumpkin and decorate your house or send it to a Grandparent for a great fall decoration gift.
This is such a fun craft and I hope that you can enjoy with your kids and make some memories. I would love to see some of your finished products, leave a comment below.
