Our kids are only small for so long, it amazes me how quickly they grow so this is a fun craft to be able to remember how small their thumbs were. So what better way to remember how small their little thumbs were than by doing a craft with their thumbprints. Today we are going to make a pumpkin patch with their thumbprints, a “Thumb”kin Patch. This can be done any day and is a fun keepsake to have. I did this with my class years ago and it was a hit for both the kids and the parents.
This would be a great craft do to after a trip to the pumpkin patch to continue making memories with your kids. Or if you can’t make it to a pumpkin patch this year this could be a great alternative activity to do. This would also make a great craft to do on Thanksgiving afternoon or evening after you have eaten and before dessert. Not many supplies are needed so it is an easy last-minute craft for you and your kids to be able to create and what kid doesn’t like making thumbprints.
Once your kid’s thumbprints are dry you just have to add some finishing touches to finish your this very easy and cute “Thumb”kin patch. For the younger kids, the parents will have to do this part, but for my five year old she was able to do it all by herself and loved it.
